Watch: 64 migrants rescued in Libyan territorial waters of the Mediterranean

Video prices: IQD 240/day

The Alan Kurdi ship, run by the German non-governmental organization CI, rescued 64 migrants who were on a rubber boat in Libyan territorial waters in the central Mediterranean, heading towards Europe. The organization says that it intervened to the rescue, off the coast of Zuwara, west of the Libyan capital, Tripoli, when it was not possible to contact the Libyan authorities. Sea Eye requested that a port be opened in Italy or Malta to accept the ship and rescue those in the boat. For his part, the right-wing Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini said that the ship carrying irregular migrants will not be accepted, just as happened before with other ships, and that it will not be welcomed. The Maltese and Italian refusal to accept the humanitarian organization's ship would lead to a potentially long delay in rescuing these migrants, at a time when European countries are negotiating and bartering over who will receive them.
