Activists at the Border Network for Human Rights have launched a platform to document alleged rights violations faced by migrants at the Mexico-United States border. The campaign was launched from the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez, where activists were stationed at bus stations, entry points and community services to talk to migrants who wished to submit reports of possible abuses. The network talks about strict measures ordered by US President Donald Trump against immigrants, which resulted in the killing of children. This week, a 16-year-old Guatemalan boy died while in the custody of US authorities. Last year, a 7-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy, both also from Guatemala, died. Human rights activists consider the campaign launched by the American authorities against immigrants dangerous as it will push them towards resorting to gangs.
